Sea Of Remnants Comes With Ambitious Plans After Launch
Sea of Remnants, from NetEase, a studio recently gaining attention with its high-budget productions, has already become a hot topic with its long-term plans even before its release. This new RPG, centered around a pirate theme, is generating interest not only with its gameplay but also with its post-launch roadmap. Information shared about Sea of Remnants suggests the game will have a rapidly growing and constantly updated structure. Although the release date is not yet finalized, the project is already being described with ambitious goals.
Sea of Remnants Roadmap
According to statements made by developer Joker Studio, Sea of Remnants will have a very intense update schedule after launch. The plan aims to add a new season approximately every 10 weeks. This means Sea of Remnants will be renewing its content almost every two and a half months.
But the plans don’t stop there; they also point to large-scale expansion packs every 20 weeks. This pace, rarely seen even in live service games, clearly indicates that Sea of Remnants is positioned as a long-term project. However, whether this intense schedule is sustainable will directly depend on the interest the game generates after launch.
The fact that Sea of Remnants is free-to-play is one of the main pillars of this aggressive update model. The development team emphasizes that in-game spending will be limited to cosmetic content only. This approach brings with it the expectation of a more balanced economy on the player side.
Although a definitive release date has not yet been announced, Sea of Remnants is planned to be released this year. Furthermore, a closed alpha test on the PC platform is expected to begin soon. This testing process will provide the first concrete signals on how well Sea of Remnants can meet its ambitious plans.
