Silent Hill 2 Remake: New Story Trailer Released
Konami has released a new story trailer for Silent Hill 2 Remake. The trailer is very similar to the highly acclaimed E3 trailer released in 2001. The scenario is accompanied by “Promise”, one of the final themes of Silent Hill 2.
Eddie and Mary First Appear in Silent Hill 2 Remake
One of the most striking details in the trailer is the first appearance in the Remake of Eddie and Mary, two important NPC characters never seen in the cinematics before. Eddie’s face resembles the Tweedle Dee/Tweedle Dum characters, but the backwards baseball cap is very faithful to the original. These details make the character palpably weird in all the right ways. Mary closely mirrors the original character with her outfit and hairstyle.
The trailer also shows more combat sequences and takes a longer look at the game’s bleak environments thanks to Silent Hill 2’s new over-the-shoulder camera perspective. Iconic locations such as the prison, hotel, park and Brookhaven hospital appear to have been recreated almost exactly like the originals.
Silent Hill 2 Remake, one of gaming’s worst kept secrets before it was officially announced in October 2022, will be released on October 8, 2024 on PC and PS5 via Steam.
