Silent Hill f Release Date
Early story details about Silent Hill f have confirmed the new protagonist, Hinako, and the fictional city of Ebisugaoka. While the shift away from the mainstay setting of the titular Silent Hill town in the United States had many wondering how Silent Hill f would fit into the franchise overall, the latest release date trailer has once again ignited enthusiasm among fans of Japanese culture and survival horror.
The State of Play Silent Hill f trailer included the introduction of new secondary characters, a variety of grotesque enemies, and a previously unseen weapon. One character is addressed as Sakuko, while two other unnamed characters dressed in student uniforms are shown alongside protagonist Hinako. Audiences see Hinako defending herself against a knife-wielding disfigured enemy before wandering through a field of what appear to be students posed as scarecrows. She then explores an old school that has become overgrown with blood-red plantlife and is overrun with similarly deformed students. Hinako is shown using a lead pipe, one of the most familiar weapons in the Silent Hill games, to battle the creatures. Players also get a first-ever look at what appears to be a Japanese naginata, or bladed polearm weapon, which Hinako carries while approaching a monstrously transformed Sakuko.
Silent Hill f is officially confirmed to launch on Thursday, September 25, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Audiences have already been warned about the disturbing content in Silent Hill f, and the release date trailer has given interested players a closer look at some of the visual body horror and psychological story elements that they can experience.
