Japanese speedrunner Ikaboze attended Nintendo’s special Switch 2 trial event in Tokyo, where he achieved an extraordinary feat. Despite only having 20 minutes to play, Ikaboze managed to reach the end of the game in less than half that time.
The starting point was a save file just outside Hyrule Castle. Ikaboze skillfully advanced to confront Ganon without using any equipment and managed to see the end credits of the game. This performance showed both his mastery of the game and the smooth experience offered by the Switch 2.
According to Nintendo Insider, Ikaboze’s feat was one of the notable moments in Nintendo’s promotional environment for the Switch 2. It also showed how the performance and fast loading times offered by the new console provide an advantage in such trials.
As the Switch 2’s release date approaches, witnessing such impressive demonstrations already increases the excitement for what the console and its games promise. This small demonstration could be a big sign for fans who are especially eager to see what the Zelda series offers on the new hardware.
