The Game Actually Makes You Search for a Needle Among 5 Million Straws
In this project, still in development, players’ goal is to find a single needle hidden among 5 million pieces of straw. While seemingly simple at first glance, the idea gains more meaning when the developer says they want to “push the boundaries of meditative and repetitive games.” So the aim here isn’t just to present a funny idea, but to create a bizarre experience built on patience.
The game’s trailer quickly went viral, garnering over 46 million views on X. The post also received over 189,000 likes, around 10,000 retweets, and thousands of comments. This level of interest, even before a Steam page is launched, shows the project has generated significant anticipation.
NasNakarus also shared some gameplay details in the comments. He mentioned that tools like shovels, baskets, and leaf blowers will be usable. A multiplayer mode is also planned, potentially transforming the game from a solo test of patience into a chaotic experience played with friends.
The developer says a Steam page will be launched soon, but the funniest part is that he admits to testing the game himself but hasn’t found the needle yet. If the execution proves as fun as the idea, this quirky game could easily join the ranks of viral indie titles.
