Spider-Man 3 Rumors Got Stronger
A new job posting from Insomniac Games has revived speculation that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is in development. Given the studio’s huge success with the previous two games, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a third Spider-Man game on the way. However, no official announcement has been made yet, so for now we’ll just have to speculate.
New Job Posting, Spider-Man 3 or Another Project?
The job listing, discovered by Tech4Gamers, shows a search for a Senior Gameplay Animator focusing on hero transitions, combat animations, boss battles and open world mechanics. “This looks a lot like the stuff that makes up a Spider-Man game to me!” said a number of people who believe the job posting is for a Spider-Man game.
Of course, while this job posting doesn’t directly point to Spider-Man 3, it’s clear that Sony will want to continue the success of the franchise. Plus, we know the studio is already working on Marvel’s Wolverine, so it could be a while before Spider-Man 3 is announced.
The fact that Insomniac Games is facing internal leaks has also raised a lot of curiosity among fans. The latest leaks have provided some insight into the studio’s plans. However, there are also rumors that the Ratchet & Clank game, allegedly among the leaked projects, has been canceled. For now, we can’t wait to see what the studio will work on after Marvel’s Wolverine is completed. It’s possible that we’ll see a big project planned for the next generation of PlayStation consoles.
