Splatoon Raiders Release Date Announced
The Splatoon universe is generally known as a series that stands out for its multiplayer aspect. However, with Splatoon Raiders, we see a departure from this formula. This new single-player focused structure has the potential to take the series’ dynamics to a different level. With the announced release date, the game has now become a more concrete expectation.
Splatoon Raiders Release Date and Gameplay
According to the official announcement for Splatoon Raiders, the game will be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 platform on July 23, 2026. Previously announced for 2025, a clear release date hadn’t been given for a long time, so this announcement represents a significant milestone for players. The fact that it’s exclusive to the Switch 2 also shows that Nintendo has allocated a special place for this game in its next-generation plans.
In this new spinoff, players control a mechanical character, unlike in classic Splatoon games. The story takes place in mysterious regions called the Spirhalite Islands, where players explore and face various threats. The accompanying Deep Cut trilogy is a key element at the heart of the narrative.
In terms of gameplay, exploration, equipment use, and combat are balanced. Players explore the environment and fight waves of enemies using different mechanical vehicles and ink-based weapons. Encounters with creatures known as Salmonids seem to be one of the main factors determining the game’s pace.
Splatoon Raiders aims to move away from the series’ usual multiplayer structure and offer a more focused and story-driven experience. How this change will be received will become clearer with player reactions after release. However, it is already clear that Nintendo is determined to take the Splatoon brand in different directions.
