Stellar Blade Breaks PC Record
Stellar Blade‘s PC version has finally been released and has achieved great success since its first day. Stellar Blade has received great interest from gamers with its release on the PC platform and has reached a new record for single-player games released on PlayStation.
Stellar Blade Takes Top Place with PC Version
According to Steam data, Stellar Blade has achieved remarkable success by reaching 99,980 concurrent players in the first 24 hours after its release on PC. This figure has previously been recorded as the highest concurrent player record among single-player games released by PlayStation. In comparison, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered reached 66,436 players, Horizon Zero Dawn 56,557, and The Last of Us Part 1 36,496 players.
The reactions from players are also quite positive. While the average review on Steam is reflected as “very positive”, the comments especially praise the game’s technically flawless operation and smooth gameplay. “It’s great to see a game that runs so smoothly in a world full of optimization issues,” was one of the most prominent comments.
Developer Shift Up had previously stated in a financial statement that they expected the PC version to surpass console sales. The company had drawn attention to the growth of the single-player action game market, especially in Asia, and stated that the PC appealed to a wider user base. Early data shows that this expectation is already starting to come true.
Stellar Blade attracted attention with its gameplay, visual style and fast-paced combat system, and made a strong entrance into the market with the technical success of the PC version and high player count. Guide content for those new to the game has also started to spread rapidly. It seems that Stellar Blade will continue its journey on PC quite ambitiously.
