Street Fighter 6 December Update Brings Balance Changes
Street Fighter 6 has been a hit with fighting game fans since its release in 2023. The game’s rich cast of characters, impressive graphics and immersive gameplay keep players glued to their screens for hours. However, as in every game, it is observed that some characters are more dominant than others in Street Fighter 6. That’s where this balance update from Capcom comes in.
Street Fighter 6 December Update Will Be Comprehensive
According to an official announcement by Capcom, every character in Street Fighter 6 will be affected by this balance patch. All fighters are being updated with various adjustments, including M. Bison and Terry Bogard, who were added to the game with Season 2. This means that players may experience some changes when fighting their favorite characters.
But there’s no need to worry. Capcom has stated that this update will not be as comprehensive as the balance patch that was previously released with Akuma. So, we shouldn’t expect radical changes to the core mechanics and gameplay styles of the characters. However, some characters may be strengthened or weakened, albeit with light touches.
Recently, there have been some characters that have stood out with their strong performances, especially in Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom Cup qualifiers. M. Bison, Ken, Cammy, and Ed are among them. These fighters are seen as “nerf” candidates because of their dominant play in tournaments. So, there is a high chance that their power will be slightly reduced.
Other characters such as Zangief, Rashid and even Akuma may also be on Capcom’s radar. On the other hand, fighters like Jamie, Marisa, Kimberly, Lily and E. Honda are in need of improvements. Especially with the new characters added to the game, it is observed that Capcom is having some difficulty in maintaining the balance.
Street Fighter 6 players will get an exciting update in early December. This balance patch will revitalize the game’s competitive environment and allow every character to compete on equal terms. While Capcom’s decisions are highly anticipated, players can’t wait to experience the changes to their favorite fighters. With these updates, Street Fighter 6 will continue to solidify its place among fighting games.
