While many have speculated about a PS5 version of the game, Insomniac has denied the rumors and states that there are currently no plans for a Sunset Overdrive PS5 port.

This isn’t the first time Insomniac has canceled the series for another game. Last year, leaks from Insomniac revealed that Sunset Overdrive 2 was canceled due to the studio’s focus on Marvel’s Spider-Man. But fans think Sunset Overdrive deserves more attention. It still had gameplay mechanics that stood out.
