Switch 2 Pro Controller Comes With A Significant Advantage
Nintendo’s new generation accessory, the Switch 2 Pro controller, stands out with its ability to charge much faster than its predecessor. The original Pro Controller’s six-hour charging time has been reduced to 3.5 hours in this new model. This means that players can experience wireless gaming with less waiting time. Some technical differences that come with the fast charging feature create a fine balance between performance and ease of use.
Switch 2 Pro is Lighter, Faster, But More Expensive
According to Nintendo’s official statements, the Switch 2 Pro maintains a 40-hour usage time despite having a smaller battery capacity (1070mAh). This time remains the same despite the 1300mAh battery in the previous model, while its faster charging provides a great advantage in terms of daily use. Moreover, the device is slightly lighter than the previous model — the new controller, which weighs 235 grams, may be more ergonomic compared to the 246-gram weight of the original model.
Another notable innovation with the new model is the buttons added to the back of the controller and the C button positioned specifically for GameChat features. There is also now an audio jack. All of these innovations are designed to facilitate communication, especially in multiplayer experiences.
However, not everything is positive for the Switch 2 Pro controller. The price of the new model has been increased from $79.99 to $84.99. While Nintendo explains this price increase with “changes in market conditions,” it is stated that not only the controller but also other accessories to be released for the Switch 2 may be affected by similar price increases.
This new controller, which will be offered with the Nintendo Switch 2, which will be available for pre-order soon, draws attention with its charging time, ergonomics and hardware features. Despite the price increase, the Switch 2 Pro continues to be an attractive accessory, especially for heavy users.
