The First Trailer for the Furi Series Has Been Released
Furi, a sci-fi action series, marked an era with its impressive visual style and fast-paced combat mechanics. The television adaptation of the game, by The Game Bakers, combines rhythmic action and philosophical narrative, just like the game itself. Created by Midnight Embers Productions, the miniseries will premiere on digital platforms on November 8, 2025.
Furi Series Brings the Gaming World to the Screen
The first trailer highlights the fight scenes of Barty Shepherd, who plays The Rider. Shepherd also plays an active role in the project as the series’ writer and executive producer. The trailer also showcases the first live-action versions of iconic characters such as The Voice, The Chain, The Hand, and The Song.
The production team collaborated directly with the original development studio, The Game Bakers, to ensure the series remains true to its gaming atmosphere. The series’ soundtrack will feature renowned names from the synthwave world, including Carpenter Brut, Danger, and The Toxic Avengers. This will bring Furi’s retro-futuristic atmosphere to the screen.
The series begins with The Rider, imprisoned in another dimension for years, being freed by a mysterious figure, The Voice. Forced to battle powerful Guardians to gain his freedom, the character confronts a guardian from a different world in each episode. This journey represents not only a physical but also a spiritual reckoning.
Producer Lucy Miles states that Furi is not just an action story, but “a character journey that challenges the boundaries of justice.” Each episode challenges the concepts of heroism and evil, challenging the audience to a moral inquiry.
Furi stands out among gaming adaptations for its striking visuals, music, and thematic depth. The mini-series, which will be released on November 8th, will offer a visual feast for both fans of the game and new viewers.
