There will be no Nicki Minaj Skins in WARDOGS
WARDOGS, which was introduced last week with its first trailer, quickly caught the attention of tactical FPS enthusiasts. The studio behind the game, Bulkhead, clearly outlined WARDOGS’ core philosophy in a social media statement. The development team specifically emphasized that there will be no “Nicki Minaj skins or meaningless cosmetics” in the game, underlining that realism will not be compromised.
WARDOGS Doesn’t Want to Compromise on Realism
The Bulkhead team says that WARDOGS’ starting point is large-scale combat and tactical depth. Destructible environments, vehicles, an economic system, and a 100-player match structure form the cornerstones of the game, and all these elements are intended to be presented within a realistic atmosphere. Therefore, a strict line has been drawn regarding cosmetic choices.
The announcement specifically references the unusual collaborations seen in the Call of Duty series in recent years. The addition of popular names like Nicki Minaj is seen by the development team as weakening the military theme and disrupting the experience. Bulkhead explicitly states that WARDOGS will absolutely not follow this path.
WARDOGS will not feature any battle pass system or “absurd” cosmetics designed to attract attention. Instead, players will upgrade their weapons, vehicles, and equipment with money earned through the in-game economic system. Each player starts a match with $10,000 and can increase this budget based on their performance during the game.
No release date or testing period has been announced yet, but Bulkhead is already inviting players to follow the game. This approach has already positioned WARDOGS differently, especially for players seeking a more serious and military-themed FPS.
