Speaking about Witcher 4, Leszek Krupinski responded to a fan’s question on social media, “Will there be Gwent in the new game?”, saying, “We have some plans for W4 :)”. This statement excited Gwent fans. First introduced to players with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Gwent was eventually released as a standalone game and gained great popularity.

Gwent’s next big step will be to release it as a physical card game in the third quarter of 2025. This new version, developed in collaboration with Hachette, will consist of 400 cards and offer 1v1 battles. Players will be able to enter strategic battles by choosing cards from different factions in the Witcher universe.

An official release date has not yet been announced for Witcher 4. However, CD Projekt Red emphasizes that the game symbolizes the beginning of a new era. What role Gwent will play in this new installment of the series and how it will be integrated into the game is eagerly awaited.
