Wolverine, Cyclops, and Storm have Arrived in Baldur’s Gate 3

The Baldur’s Gate 3 modding scene continues to grow rapidly, and this time, the boundaries have been pushed even further. A new player-created content pack adds many X-Men characters to the Baldur’s Gate 3 universe, including Wolverine, Cyclops, and Storm. Moreover, this transformation isn’t just cosmetic; the characters have been reinterpreted with new classes, abilities, and play styles.

What Does the Baldur’s Gate 3 X-Men Mod Offer?

The mod, titled “Mutant Powers Marvels X-Men,” has been released for the PC version and adapts the X-Men team to a medieval-themed fantasy atmosphere. Instead of classic comic book costumes, the characters use modified versions of in-game armor. This choice allows the team to be more naturally integrated into the world of Faerûn.

In addition to Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm, the mod also features characters like Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, Magik, Colossus, Emma Frost, and Iceman. Each is paired with their own class. For example, Storm, as Storm Sorcerer, focuses on lightning-based spells, while Wolverine, as Berserker Barbarian, excels in melee combat. Abilities consist of both existing spells from the game and powers specially designed by the mod creator.

Another notable aspect of the mod is the addition of unique dialogue touches to the characters. Some lines inspired by the animated series enhance the role-playing experience. Furthermore, the team is left open to a multi-class system; players can further diversify their mutant powers with different combinations if they wish.
