Xbox 360 Gets Update After 20 Years

Xbox 360, a console that is almost 20 years old, received a new update in 2025, surprising everyone. The console, which was released in 2005 and was one of the most popular devices of the period, was thought to be buried in the pages of history after the Marketplace was closed. However, Microsoft surprised its users by updating this system that defied the years once again.

Xbox 360 Dashboard Renewed in 2025

This development, noticed by users, came to light with a post made on the r/xbox360 subreddit. Thanks to the new update, game cover images now fit better into the screen windows. The main images, which previously appeared stretched and distorted, have now been arranged to remain true to their original proportions.

In addition to these visual adjustments, another notable change was the ads added to the home screen. The first of the two newly added ads features the Xbox One S, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S models. The other ad includes a barcode with the phrase “Experience next-gen performance. Upgrade today.”

With the update, the Xbox 360 user interface seems to have a cleaner look. While this nostalgic update was received positively by gamers, the rumors of an Xbox 360 emulator that had been on the agenda in the past days have been officially denied.
