6 Games Were Free for a Limited Time on Steam
Steam has launched a new free game campaign for players to access throughout the weekend. The event includes six titles, covering different genres such as survival, simulation, horror, tactical shooter, and stealth. The games participating in the campaign will not be permanently added to accounts, but can be played with all their content for the specified period.

Most of the games can be tried for free until July 27th. Firefighting Simulator: Ignite will leave the campaign earlier than the others. Players can continue to use their saves from the free period if they purchase the games later.
Icarus – $17.99
Icarus is a session-based survival game supporting up to eight players. Players land on an alien planet with hostile conditions, gather resources, build shelter, and try to complete given tasks before time runs out. At the end of each session, they return to orbit and can purchase permanent upgrades. Combining open-world, crafting, and extraction mechanics, the game offers enough time to experience the core gameplay loop, although it can’t be completely finished in a weekend due to its lengthy progression system.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite – $17.99
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite puts players in the shoes of professional firefighters. Featuring diverse missions ranging from house fires to emergencies at large industrial facilities, the game can be played solo or in teams of up to four. Combating smoke, rescuing trapped people, and preventing the spread of fire require the correct use of various equipment. The game will be available for a shorter trial period compared to other titles, as it will be leaving the free campaign on July 26th.
Killing Floor 3 – $18.99
Killing Floor 3 is a co-op horror shooter set in the near future, where you fight against hordes of creatures called Zed. The intense combat, bloody visual effects, and wave system characteristic of the series are expanded with new movement options. Supporting up to six players, the game features different specialization classes, weapon upgrades, and more aggressive enemy AI. The relatively short average session time makes it easy to try the game out for free during the weekend.
Wild Assault – $7.99
Wild Assault is a third-person tactical hero shooter that brings anthropomorphic animal characters to the battlefield. Each character has unique weapons, movement abilities, and a role within the team. Matches are not only about neutralizing opponents but also about capturing objectives on the map. Being a fully multiplayer game with no set story duration, it appeals to those who want to try out different heroes and team formations.
Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Version – $10.49
Metal Gear Solid – Master Collection Edition offers the opportunity to play one of the most important titles in the stealth genre on modern systems. Instead of directly engaging enemies, players control Solid Snake, attempting to overcome cameras, patrols, and security systems. Known for its cinematic storytelling and boss battles, the game, with its approximately 12-hour runtime, is one of the options that can be completed before the campaign ends. It also serves as a suitable entry point for players unfamiliar with the series.
Unrailed 2: Back on Track – $17.58
Unrailed 2: Back on Track offers a chaotic co-op experience based on laying tracks for a constantly moving train. Players must ensure the train doesn’t stop while gathering resources, removing obstacles, and crafting new tracks. The sequel features more biomes, upgrade options, and customizable characters. Communication and task sharing become particularly important when playing with a group of friends.
