8BitDo Announces Two Custom Controller Models for Tomb Raider
8BitDo has announced special editions of the Ultimate 3 Controller for Xbox and Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tomb Raider. Both controllers feature colors, symbols, and Lara Croft themes that directly reference the series. The models are already available for pre-order, differing in price and compatibility. Both special editions are scheduled to launch on October 24th.
8BitDo Tomb Raider Controllers Come in Two Different Designs
The Tomb Raider edition of the Ultimate 3 Controller for Xbox stands out with its gold body and Lara Croft silhouettes from different eras. It features black analog sticks and buttons, along with a gold-colored D-pad. The included wireless charging stand also features symbols from the Tomb Raider universe and the 30th-anniversary logo.
This model is priced at $119.99. Considering that standard Ultimate 3 versions are around $99.99, this special design requires an extra fee. The controller works with Xbox consoles via 2.4 GHz wireless or wired, with Windows PCs using the same methods, and with Android and Apple devices via Bluetooth.
The more affordable model is the Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad Tomb Raider 30th Anniversary Edition. This edition’s design is directly inspired by the Lost Valley section of the 1996 Tomb Raider game. The sandstone-toned body is complemented by vines, Atlantis symbols, and ancient geometric patterns.
The Pro 3 model also comes with two green ball-head joystick covers and two yellow-themed covers. The charging stand is designed in a rocky gray color with plant details. This edition is priced at $79.99. Thus, 8BitDo offers Tomb Raider fans two different collector’s options, one more premium and one more affordable.
