Baldur’s Gate 3 has surpassed Battlefield 6

Despite the considerable time that has passed since its release, Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to maintain player interest, while the situation is becoming increasingly difficult for next-generation titles. The latest Steam data clearly shows that Battlefield 6 is experiencing a rapid decline, with Baldur’s Gate 3 surpassing its rival in active player numbers.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Overtakes Battlefield 6

According to Steam’s concurrent player statistics for the last 24 hours, Baldur’s Gate 3 managed to stay at the top of the list with over 104,000 players. In contrast, Battlefield 6 remained at around 90,000 players, lagging behind Baldur’s Gate 3. This clearly demonstrates the difference in interest between the two games.

Battlefield 6 achieved one of the strongest launches in the series’ history, reaching over 700,000 concurrent players upon release. However, aggressive store policies, delayed season updates, technical issues, and criticism of the small map led to a significant portion of the player base abandoning the game.

Baldur’s Gate 3, on the other hand, presents a completely different picture. Thanks to its mod support, strong role-playing system, story-driven structure, and constantly discussed community content, the game has managed to create long-term player loyalty. Its continued high ranking months after release is the most concrete evidence of this success.

Now, all eyes are on the Season 2 updates for Battlefield 6. Unless larger maps, technical improvements, and a more satisfying progression system are offered, it wouldn’t be surprising if the game falls out of the Steam Top 20. Baldur’s Gate 3, with this performance, has once again proven that sustainable success is still possible in modern games.
