Twitter/X influencer DanielRPK claimed to have heard that Sony is currently working on a Bloodborne project. However, he said he’s not sure if this project is a remaster or a sequel. It seems especially likely to be a remaster, which Bloodborne fans have been demanding for a long time.
Bloodborne regained popularity after the release of Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree. Since the beginning of June 2024, Bloodborne’s player count on PS5 and PS4 has increased by 57.77%. The game continued to attract players even after the Elden Ring expansion, seeing an additional 11.61% increase in the week ending June 30, 2024, making it the 65th most played game on PlayStation.
Recently, renowned streamer Kai Cenat posted Bloodborne gameplay in an attempt to convince Sony to make a remaster or remake. “Developers are watching our every move when it comes to playing these games,” Cenat said, emphasizing the importance of pushing the narrative. Calling out both PlayStation and FromSoftware, Cenat noted that Bloodborne is one of the most requested games for a remaster and PC version.
Bloodborne is currently only available on PS4, but thanks to backwards compatibility it can also be played on PS5. Let’s see if Sony will make a move that will delight fans of this iconic game.
