GTA 6 Extended Look Pre-release Gameplay and Map Leaked
While we await the August 27th release of the Extended Look for GTA 6, some images that Rockstar might not be happy about have surfaced online. Short clips showing Jason driving, engaging in close combat, and playing basketball have been leaked, along with some images claimed to be from the map. Rockstar hasn’t yet confirmed their authenticity, but the fact that the images are being removed due to copyright complaints suggests the leak might not be entirely fabricated.
What Leaked Before the GTA 6 Extended Look?
In the first clip, Jason is driving on the highway when he crosses into the opposite lane and crashes into a delivery truck called “Scoop.” A fight quickly breaks out with the driver. Jason is seen jumping and kicking, then continuing with punches. He then uses a wrench he finds on the ground to continue the attack, triggering his two-star wanted status.
The video continues with “Loadout” and “Storage” options appearing as you approach the rear of the vehicle. The storage level being shown as 0/4 suggests the vehicles could be used to store weapons or other items. Jason then crashes into an ambulance while trying to escape, and the scene ends as he heads towards a helicopter.
The second clip is much calmer. Jason is in front of the house we saw in the second trailer and picks up a basketball from the driveway. According to the on-screen description, to shoot, you need to aim and hold the button until the hoops align. If the shot is successful, the Focus value increases by 2 percent. Even this small detail suggests that the side activities in the open world could be linked to character development.
Second part of the leaked trailer
On the map side, images are circulating showing places like Dalton Island, Tequesta Retreat, Gloriana Key, Catalan Key, and Catalan Bay. Their accuracy is not yet confirmed. However, it is claimed that Rockstar has initiated DMCA proceedings for some of these leaks. Some of the gameplay surprises we’ve been anticipating before the GTA 6 Extended Look might have been spoiled for us. The official presentation will be released on Netflix on August 27th, and six hours later on Rockstar’s YouTube channel.
