CD Projekt RED Announces: Witcher 4 Completed
Michal Nowakowski, co-CEO of Poland-based game company CD Projekt, has announced an exciting development in Project Polaris, the first game in the new trilogy of The Witcher series. Nowakowski announced that Project Polaris has completed pre-production and is now in full-scale production.
New The Witcher Game Completed
This milestone is very important news for fans of The Witcher. CD Projekt developed the most successful game in the series with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which has sold more than 40 million copies since its release in 2015. The company is expected to build on this success with the new trilogy.
Nowakowski expressed his satisfaction with the progress of Project Polaris’ development. The completion of the pre-production phase and the project moving into full-scale production means that the game has entered the most intense phase of development. CD Projekt’s co-CEO thanked the team for their hard work and dedication in reaching this important milestone.
The new trilogy of The Witcher series is one of the projects that gamers are eagerly waiting for. CD Projekt had previously announced that the new trilogy will be developed using the Unreal Engine 5 game engine and that the games will be interconnected. With the two games that will follow Project Polaris, the series will introduce a brand new story universe.
Although detailed information about The Witcher’s new trilogy has not yet been shared, it is known that CD Projekt is working diligently to take the series even further. Project Polaris entering full-scale production is seen as an important step towards the game’s release. We look forward to hearing more news and developments from CD Projekt regarding the new trilogy.
CD PROJEKT 2024 Third Quarter Announcement
– I am proud to confirm that a few weeks ago the Polaris team completed pre-production and moved into full-scale production, the most intensive phase of development. “We are very pleased with our progress on this project and I want to thank our team for their dedication,” said Michal Nowakowski, Co-CEO of CD PROJEKT.
The company also announced that both products from the Cyberpunk universe have reached significant sales milestones.
– Less than four years after its release, Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 30 million copies and Phantom Liberty has sold more than 8 million copies in just over a year. These are impressive numbers. I’m very happy to see a large and dedicated community coming together around our Cyberpunk games. Michal Nowakowski announced that next year the base game will be available with an expansion pack to a new group of users, owners of Mac devices powered by Apple Silicon chips.
In the third quarter of 2024, CD PROJEKT Group’s revenues amounted to PLN 228 million and consolidated net profit amounted to PLN 78 million.
– We are looking at a very strong quarter again. Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty expansion continue to sell very well, but The Witcher 3 is also performing admirably. Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO of CD PROJEKT, notes that although we are on the verge of the busiest quarter in terms of sales, our cumulative net profit for 2024 is already approaching PLN quarter billion.
