Chris Hemsworth Comments on Thor 5 Rumors

The possibility of a Thor 5, a long-awaited thriller for Marvel fans, has been revived with recent statements from Chris Hemsworth. While filming continues on Avengers: Doomsday, the actor hasn’t made any specific statements about his character’s future, his comments do leave the door open for a new solo film.

When asked in an interview with the BBC whether Avengers: Doomsday truly paves the way for Thor 5, Chris Hemsworth remained vague, saying, “I don’t know, we’ll see. We’re just trying to figure out where each character will go.” While Marvel hasn’t yet revealed its plans, this response has further fueled the rumors.

The actor also discussed the film’s work environment, saying, “We’re back with some old teammates, but we’ve also got a lot of new ones joining in. We’re all excited to be working together again.” Hemsworth’s statement suggests Thor will play a significant role within the larger cast of Avengers: Doomsday.

Meanwhile, if Thor 5 happens, there’s already talk that Taika Waititi won’t be returning. It’s suggested that Marvel Studios is planning to take the character in a new direction. This could be possible through surprise moves, like the Russo Brothers’ addition of Thor to the Guardians of the Galaxy team.

Hemsworth, however, is maintaining a patient approach to the process. He previously stated at Comic-Con, “I loved every second of the Marvel experience. If there’s a sequel, I’m ready, but we’re waiting to hear back.” This expressed both commitment and uncertainty.

There are also hints about the tone of Thor 5. The actor, who criticized the overly humorous approach in Love and Thunder, said, “I became a parody of myself; I couldn’t land,” signaling that he’d like to see a more serious Thor in the next film. This suggests that a potential Thor 5 could once again take the character to a darker, more epic level.
