Matt Selman, one of The Simpsons’ showrunners, spoke about The Simpsons Hit & Run in an interview with People. Selman, who was also involved in the game’s writing process, said that a return of the project could be interesting, but it would be a very complex process.
Selman stated that he himself was surprised that the game had become a cult classic over the years. He explained that at the time it was seen only as a game tied to the television series, but over time it has gained a special place among players.
However, he specifically emphasized that there is no definite plan. One of Selman’s most striking statements was “never say never.” According to the producer, the fact that players still want Simpsons Hit & Run shows that the possibility of a return hasn’t been completely ruled out.
On the other hand, another development in recent weeks has strengthened the rumors. The reactivation of Radical Entertainment, the studio behind the game, and its announcement of its intention to evaluate classic projects, has led some fans to discuss the possibility of a remaster or remake of Simpsons Hit & Run again.
