Crimson Moon Announces Date for Reunion with Players

Crimson Moon, a game long awaited by players, has finally been scheduled for release. Developed by Probably Monsters, the game features dark and fast-paced hunting missions that can be played solo or with a friend. Along with the release announcement, the game’s price, Deluxe edition content, and exclusive rewards for PlayStation 5 owners were also revealed.

When is Crimson Moon Coming Out and What Will It Offer?

Crimson Moon will be released on September 1, 2026. All hunting missions in the game can be completed in two-player online co-op. The development team says the difficulty level will dynamically adjust to the number of players. This means solo players won’t feel overwhelmed, and two-person teams won’t easily overcome the challenges.

In co-op mode, two players will share a common health pool. You’ll be able to revive your teammate when they fall, but each death will bring the team closer to failure. This system makes it crucial to move together and retreat at the right moment, rather than constantly attacking. Especially in challenging hunts, proceeding without communication doesn’t seem like a good idea.

The game will be released in two different versions. The standard version will only include the main game and will be priced at $19.99. The Deluxe version will be sold for $29.99. This package includes the Ceremonial Armor Set, the guitar-shaped Axe of the Gods weapon, and access to a post-launch content expansion. The $10 difference might be worthwhile for those planning to play the game for a long time.

Anyone who purchases the game on PlayStation 5 will receive the Sonai Magistrate Armor Set, regardless of the version chosen. PS5 Pro users will also benefit from improved PSSR support. Whether this will provide higher image quality or more stable performance will become clear when technical details are shared. With its reasonable price and fully co-op hunting gameplay, Crimson Moon looks set to be one of the most anticipated games of September.
