Death Stranding 2 PC Port May Be on the Way
While Death Stranding 2 is currently only available on PlayStation 5, recent signs suggest a PC version might be closer than we thought. In particular, Hideo Kojima’s social media post and previously leaked rating information have raised the possibility that Death Stranding 2’s PC journey may be officially about to begin.
Death Stranding 2 PC Signals Strengthen
The development that ignited the discussion was Hideo Kojima’s short but striking post on X. Kojima shared an image with the note, “I didn’t have much time for editing today.” The photo shows a PC monitor with the words “A Hideo Kojima Game,” and below it, a Death Stranding calendar dated 2026. This detail naturally increased speculation about a PC version of Death Stranding 2.
The timing also supports the rumors. The first Death Stranding was released on PlayStation 4 in November 2019, and came to PC approximately eight months later in July 2020. Death Stranding 2 was released on PS5 in July 2025. Following a similar timeline, March 2026 seems like a very logical window for the PC version. This makes the claims more concrete than just excitement.
On the other hand, a Death Stranding 2 PC rating that briefly appeared on the ESRB website in November 2025 hasn’t been forgotten. Although there hasn’t been an official announcement, such rating leaks are usually a sign of an upcoming launch. While Kojima Productions is known to be working on projects like OD and PhysInt, the emphasis on Death Stranding in the timeline is particularly noteworthy.
All eyes are now on the upcoming State of Play event. Given Sony’s increased willingness to bring PlayStation exclusives to PC in recent years, a PC announcement for Death Stranding 2 wouldn’t be surprising. While everything remains speculation until an official announcement, signs suggest Death Stranding 2’s PC journey might be closer than we think.
