Elden Ring PvP players will notice that the “Swift Slash” skill’s cutting vacuum effect damage and damage animation have been reduced in the new patch. In terms of general balancing changes, the Karya Sorcery Sword’s intelligence scaling has been increased, but its base damage has been nerfed. Additionally, the attack range for the Smithscript Dagger and Smithscript Circus has been increased. Changed the base placement for re-fights against the Golden Hippopotamus and Commander Gaius bosses to be the same as the first fight.

FromSoftware reports that for PS5 users, the “Rebuild Database” tool can be used from the console’s safe mode menu to improve Elden Ring’s unstable performance. For PC gamers, some users may have unintentionally enabled Ray Tracing, which could be a reason for the unstable framerate. Ray Tracing is a rendering technique that can significantly affect performance. Gamers can improve performance by adjusting ‘Ray Tracing Quality’ via ‘System’ and ‘Graphics Settings’. Turning the quality down or off can provide a better gaming experience.

The PC version of Elden Ring may also experience performance issues due to third-party applications, such as mouse implementation issues, which FromSoftware has previously addressed. Players should close these apps when running the game to get better performance. Also, the issue of players receiving the “inappropriate activity detected” message without cheating has also been fixed.
