Epic Games Store Distributed 662 Million Games in 2025
Epic Games Store has released its 2025 activity report, clearly revealing the scale of the platform. According to the data, the store experienced significant growth in both user numbers and game engagement throughout the year, with the impact of its free-to-play strategy directly reflected in the figures.
Epic Games Store Attracts Attention with 2025 Figures
According to information shared by Epic Games Store, the platform reached a total of 317 million users by the end of 2025. Of these users, 78 million were monthly active players, while the total time spent by PC gamers on Epic Games Store throughout the year reached 6.6 billion hours. Of this time, 2.7 billion hours were spent on third-party games.
Throughout 2025, a total of 100 free games were distributed on the store, and these games were added to libraries by users more than 662 million times. Epic Games stated that these campaigns generated an average of $2,316 in “earned value” per player. It was noted that 77% of the free games reached their record concurrent player numbers, and 40% also experienced player growth on the Steam side.
Growth is also noticeable in terms of spending. Epic Games Store users spent more than $1.16 billion in total in 2025. This represents an increase of approximately 6% compared to the previous year. Epic emphasizes that the overall growth in the PC gaming market played a significant role in this increase.
Among the games that achieved the highest spending and engagement on the platform throughout 2025 were Fortnite, Wuthering Waves, Honkai: Star Rail, Rocket League, and Genshin Impact. Epic Games announced that as they enter 2026, they will continue with a more open and developer-friendly store vision, keeping the player experience at the center.
