Free DLC Announced for Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage, released in 2023, is being updated this year with new, free content. This new chapter, which adds to Basim’s story in ninth-century Baghdad, will transport players to a completely different region. The update, announced at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, has thrilled series fans.
A New Story Chapter is Coming to Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Ubisoft has announced a free DLC for Mirage. This content will introduce a new story chapter and missions set in the ninth century. This time, Basim will travel away from Baghdad and to the city of AlUla in northwestern Saudi Arabia. The package will include both gameplay improvements for the new region and improvements to the existing map.
The new DLC will continue Mirage’s focus on old-school gameplay in a new region. Parkouring in high-rise buildings, meticulous assassinations, and a system based on stealth will be experienced in a different historical setting. AlUla’s architecture and atmosphere will bring a whole new visual variety to the game.
The positive reviews the game received at launch are also increasing interest in this DLC. Mirage was seen as a return to the series’ roots, offering a more compact experience, unlike expansive titles like Valhalla. This approach was especially appreciated by players who missed the series’ previous installments.
While a specific date hasn’t been announced yet, the free DLC has been confirmed to be released in 2025. Ubisoft’s update plan, which includes both technical improvements and new content, indicates that Mirage will continue to be supported for the long term. This will give players the opportunity to explore Basim’s story from a new perspective.
