Gallipoli is Coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on May 21st
BlackMill Games, the developer of the acclaimed WW1 Game series, has announced that the next major game in the series, Gallipoli, will be released on May 21st. The game draws inspiration from the Gallipoli Campaign and the legacy of the Australian-New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) during World War I. It will be available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S with full cross-play support. It is priced at €29.99 / $29.99 / £24.99.
As seen in the trailer, players will experience the famous beach landing operation from a first-person perspective. They will row from the sea to the shore in fragile boats, endure heavy fire, jump out of the boat to take cover on the beach, and then fight their way across the hills to reach the front-line trenches.
The game focuses on critical battles on the Ottoman front during World War I. While particularly concentrating on the Gallipoli Campaign and the ANZACs, players will be able to fight as both British and Ottoman forces. They will participate in battlefields ranging from a realistic recreation of ANZAC Cove to Lower Mesopotamia.
Historical details awaiting players include personal explosives made from ration boxes, the distinctive “slouch” hats of Australian and New Zealand soldiers, and beach landing scenes carried out with the famous (but extremely dangerous) landing craft.
BlackMill Games founder Jos Hoebe said the following about the game’s development and the significance of ANZAC Day for the community: “With ANZAC Day approaching this weekend, our new trailer aims to shed light on ANZAC Cove. This battlefield, which we have brought to life with great care in the game, has real historical significance. We hope to encourage reflection on the events that took place there.”

Expanding the WW1 Game Series
Gallipoli joins Verdun, Tannenberg, and Isonzo as the fourth standalone game in the WW1 Game Series. Each game in the series, which has sold over 4 million copies overall, focuses on a different front of the Great War and offers a realistic multiplayer FPS experience based on teamwork, period accuracy, and historical esteem.
