Neither Discounts nor Updates could save MindsEye

MindsEye continues to be in the spotlight as one of the games struggling to recover since its release. However, it seems that the steps taken by the development team are not yet enough to bring players back. The numbers, especially after the latest update, clearly show how difficult the situation is.

MindsEye Still Cannot Recover

With the 7.1 update, a new mission was added and many technical improvements were made. The permanent price reduction was also presented as a significant opportunity for players. However, despite all these changes, the number of players reached on Steam remains quite limited.

According to the data, the game’s maximum concurrent player count after the update was only 42. While this represents an increase compared to the previous day, it’s not a significant jump that will change the overall picture. The fact that some games released around the same time and receiving negative reviews have even reached higher player numbers shows how difficult a position MindsEye is in.

Looking at the game’s launch process, this picture isn’t surprising. Technical problems, lack of content, and general quality issues seriously damaged the initial impression. While subsequent updates partially fixed these problems, reversing players’ initial impression isn’t always easy.

Nevertheless, there’s a glimmer of hope. The increasing positive feedback from end-users indicates growing satisfaction among those still playing the game. However, a stronger and more noticeable turnaround is needed for this to spread to a wider audience. As it stands, MindsEye remains among the games trying to recover but haven’t yet succeeded.
