New Astro Bot Level Revealed

Playstation has announced another free DLC level for the Astro Bot. This level will be about Winter season.

Released on September 6, Astro Bot is a 3D adventure platforming game that sees players controlling the titular bot Astro and leading him to find his VIP Bot friends, who are based on iconic PlayStation characters. The game has been applauded as a love letter to old school platforming video games while boasting impressive modern graphics and gameplay mechanics. To thank the players that have been enjoying the game, PlayStation has announced that a special new level will be added.

Team Asobi and PlayStation have unveiled Winter Wonder, the latest free DLC level that will be added to Astro Bot. Previous DLC levels for Astro Bot focused on unique speedrunning challenges to test players’ platforming skills, but this next offering is said to take a more relaxed and celebratory approach. Team Asobi Studio Director Nicholas Doucet notes that Winter Wonder will be a “special present” for players and teased that the fresh content will feature “shiny presents” and more new VIP Bots to collect. Fans will need to have completed the main campaign before Winter Wonder will appear as a free download.

Team Asobi’s surprise plan to launch yet another free DLC level for Astro Bot has come as a welcome gift for players and has understandably earned the studio a warm round of applause. Boasting multiple nominations at The Game Awards 2024 and impressive sales milestones, Astro Bot continues to delight fans young and old with its addicting platforming fun and refreshing content.

Players can enjoy the holiday Winter Wonder DLC level for Astro Bot when it goes live on Thursday, December 12 at 6 PM PT.
