Obsidian Makes Future Plans for Avowed

Obsidian Entertainment’s action RPG Avowed, which was released in 2025, continues to attract great interest among players. According to a statement made by the company’s community manager Aarik Dorobiala, the studio will release a roadmap for the game in the coming weeks. This map will detail Avowed’s upcoming updates and content. Although no direct information was given about the expansion packs in the statement, it is considered an exciting step for the future of the game.

Obsidian Makes Future Plans for Avowed

Avowed’s Success and New Content

Although Obsidian has not made an official statement about Avowed’s expansion packs, game director Carrie Patel had previously left the door open to this possibility in an interview. Patel had said, “We have developed this fascinating world and gameplay mechanics. We would like to explore this universe further.”

The positive reviews and OpenCritic average of 81 points received after the game’s release have increased Obsidian’s motivation to develop the game. In addition, the player numbers and sales performance on Steam seem to be enough to please the company. It is thought that the roadmap may include updates and potential expansion packs that will take this success even further.

According to Dorobiala’s statement, the roadmap will include plans for the next year for Avowed. These plans may include new game modes, features such as New Game+, as well as updates such as a port to PlayStation 5. However, the most curious issue is whether expansion packs will be added to the game. If this happens, players may have the chance to explore new regions of the Eora universe.

Avowed seems to be just the beginning for Obsidian. The company is also working on The Outer Worlds 2. The fact that both games are developed by different teams may prevent the ongoing support plans for Avowed from being disrupted.
