Witcher Storm Begins in Dead by Daylight
Dead by Daylight, one of the legendary names in horror games, is hosting guests from a completely different universe this time. The Witcher-themed collection, announced in collaboration with CD Projekt Red, adds a fantastic touch to the dark atmosphere of The Fog. Players are preparing to see many familiar faces from Geralt to Yennefer, Ciri to Eredin in a completely different fight this time.
Dead by Daylight Brings the Witcher World to the Game
The collection, announced by Behaviour Interactive at the PAX East event, is not limited to just costumes. The game will feature a legendary Leshen skin for the character The Artist. In addition, the Geralt costume comes for Vittorio, one of the original characters of Dead by Daylight. Moreover, this costume is completed with the voice acting of Doug Cockle, the iconic voice artist who gives life to Geralt.
It was announced that four iconic characters such as Yennefer, Triss, Ciri and Eredin will be added to the game as Survivor costumes. However, it is not yet clear which Survivor these characters will be adapted to. The game’s creative director Mathieu Cote compares this collaboration to a cosplay experience, emphasizing that they offer players a space where they can express themselves more in the game.
The Witcher collection is not limited to character costumes only. Among the special content that will be offered to players are rare talismans such as the glowing-eyed wolf medallion and a player card featuring the famous “bathtub scene”. These details show that iconic elements of the Witcher universe have been successfully integrated into the game.
As Dead by Daylight celebrates its ninth anniversary, it continues to expand the definition of horror with such crossover collaborations. According to Cote’s statement, the Witcher 3 partnership is seen as a step that deepens the game’s own universe rather than disrupting it. Reminding that horror can be presented in different forms, this update brings both Witcher fans and DBD players together on a common ground.
