Red Dead Redemption PC Edition Coming Soon?
A new hint about the Red Dead Redemption PC has surfaced in Rockstar Games’ latest launcher update. Tez2, a reliable source, noticed that the developers accidentally included data for the PC port of Red Dead Redemption in the latest update. This update included the anti-cheat feature introduced for GTA V. However, Rockstar quickly removed this data and as of now, these files are no longer visible.
Tips on the PC Version of Red Dead Redemption
According to Tez2, files for the PC version of Red Dead Redemption were briefly seen on the launcher. On the SteamDB page, there are various updates about the PC version of the game. These updates have been regular over the past few months, and yesterday in particular, three major updates were added. However, it is not yet known whether this information is from an officially verified SteamDB page.
Videotechuk_, another trusted Rockstar source, noted that these updates are not limited to Red Dead Redemption, but also include Rockstar’s other big titles such as the GTA series and LA Noire. One file in particular, dubbed “Project Americas”, may point to the long-rumored GTA 6.
Released in 2010 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Red Dead Redemption, the iconic open-world game set in the Wild West, was re-released years later for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. However, the PC version still hasn’t been officially announced. This new discovery has raised hopes that the long-awaited PC port could be announced soon.
