Degeneration (2008)
Resident Evil: Degeneration released in 2008 and set one year after the events of Resident Evil 4. Notably, Degeneration establishes Tricell as an in-world presence before Resident Evil 5, offering some context into Chris’ future flight in Africa. Also after the events of Resident Evil 2, Leon and Claire are sharing the same screen for the first time.
In November 2005, Harvardville Airport falls victim to a T-virus attack both from inside the terminal and a crashlanded airline plane. TerraSave worker Claire Redfield coincidentally runs into Senator Ron Davis, a vocal opponent of TerraSave, and they are forced to hide in the VIP lounge with Rani, niece of a TerraSave employee. By nightfall, the airport has been locked down by the local Special Response Team and the United States Army, aiding evacuated survivors.

Officers Angela Miller and Greg Glenn are joined by federal agent Leon S. Kennedy. Claire’s group is rescued; however, they are forced to leave the infected Greg. Trucks from pharmaceutical corporation WilPharma arrive to administer a T-virus vaccine they created but are destroyed by explosives. Leon reveals that a terrorist has threatened to unleash the T-virus throughout the U.S. should government officials involved in its creation not be revealed by midnight.
Damnation (2012)
Taking place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and 6 while setting up Leon’s campaign in the latter, Resident Evil: Damnation was released in 2012.
In 2011, DSO agent Leon S. Kennedy enters a Eastern Slav Republic to confirm rumors that Bio-Organic Weapons are being used in the country’s civil war and ignores the government’s order to retreat. He comes across his contact, who has been attacked and is then killed by a strong Licker. After a brief fight, a second Licker appears but spares Leon. Leon is knocked out, strong lead Lickers are released in the wild and finds himself tied to a chair by rebel fighters JD; the former teacher Alexander Kozachenko, better known as Buddy; and the elderly Ivan Judanovich, the group’s Ataman.
Vendetta (2017)
Resident Evil: Vendetta released in 2017 and is set between the events of Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 7. Along with bringing back Leon, Vendetta marks Chris Redfield’s debut appearance in the movies and Rebecca Chambers’ first appearance since Resident Evil 0 period.
BSAA agent Chris Redfield is tracking Glenn Arias, an American death merchant and a former CIA operative who is wanted by both the Interpol and FBI. Arias is on a mission of vengeance against the U.S. government for killing his friends and family in a drone strike at his wedding. Chris and his fellow agents infiltrate a mansion in Mexico, to rescue their missing undercover source, Cathy White.

Inside the mansion, Chris’s fellow agents are ambushed by zombies and death traps, with Chris being the sole survivor and barely making it out alive. Chris then comes face-to-face with Arias outside the mansion and is defeated by him in close quarters combat.
Infinite Darkness (2021)
Set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, the series takes place in 2006 after a hacking incident is uncovered at the White House. Leon S. Kennedy is ordered to investigate the incident, but he encounters zombies when the White House is targeted in a mysterious attack. He later meets Claire Redfield, who has been investigating a strange drawing made by a child refugee while working on a TerraSave-led mission to oversee construction of a welfare facility.

Death Island (2023)
D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.
According to Capcom, the film is set in 2015. This places the film after the events of Resident Evil 6 (set in 2013) and Resident Evil: Vendetta (set in 2014) but before Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (set in 2017).
