The director shared a photo with the character, expected to be the main threat in the new film, sending a small but effective message to fans. How Metal Sonic would be adapted to the live-action universe has been a subject of much speculation, and the initial impression is that the character has been transferred to this universe quite well.
While the previous three films in the series didn’t achieve top-rated critics, they were quite successful at the box office and among fans. Sonic the Hedgehog 3, in particular, stood out as the most beloved film in the series based on user ratings. Therefore, Fowler’s claim of a “best Sonic movie” sets the bar quite high.
