Sony State of Play February 2026 All Announcements
Sony’s latest State of Play presentation was a veritable content bombardment. The nearly hour-long event featured a flurry of new trailers, surprise announcements, and release dates. The God of War projects, Silent Hill: Townfall, and the surprise John Wick game were particularly talked about. Here are all the titles announced at the event.
Sony State of Play – All Announcements and Trailers
God of War Trilogy Remake
At the end of the event, Sony announced a complete remake of the original God of War trilogy. Kratos’ early adventures in Greek mythology return with modern graphics technology, revamped animations, and updated gameplay systems. The series aims to appeal to both old fans and new players by blending nostalgia with technical advancements.
God of War: Sons of Sparta
Released immediately after the remake announcement, the 2D prequel, Sons of Sparta, focuses on the younger Kratos era as a side story. With a more classic action design, the game pays homage to the series’ roots.
Beast of Reincarnation
Game Freak’s new project, Beast of Reincarnation, has been announced with a release date of August 4th. In this action-adventure game, the player’s canine companion takes center stage, playing an active role throughout the story.
Kena: Scars of Kosmora
A sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Scars of Kosmora centers on a more mature Kena and her giant wolf companion. Coming to PS5 and PC this year, the game carries the emotional tone of the first game into a larger world.
Ghost of Yotei: Legends
The free-to-play multiplayer mode for Ghost of Yotei, Legends, will be released on March 10th. It will offer a team-focused experience with four different class options and raid content to be added in April.
Silent Hill: Townfall
Silent Hill: Townfall has been described as a first-person spin-off developed in collaboration with Annapurna Interactive. The trailer clearly shows that it retains the psychological horror atmosphere of the series.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
Death Stranding 2 is coming to PC on March 19th. This announcement, coming quite early compared to the PC release times of PlayStation exclusive games, has attracted attention.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered
Legacy of Kain: Defiance, with improved visuals and a modern camera system, is coming to multi-platforms on March 3rd. The remastered version aims to adapt the classic series to modern players.
Legacy of Kain: Ascendance
Ascendance, a 2D pixel art action game set before Soul Reaver, will be released on March 31st and offers a different interpretation of the series’ origins.
Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition
Rayman’s 30th anniversary edition celebrates the original game by bringing it to modern platforms, along with a documentary and various additional content.
Project Windless
Project Windless is presented as an open-world RPG set in Lee Youngdo’s fantasy universe, where players will control a character from the Rekon race.
4:Loop
4:Loop, an action game with Left 4 Dead-style co-op gameplay, has been shown with extended gameplay footage and will soon enter beta.
Pragmata
Capcom’s Pragmata has announced a demo along with a new trailer; combining third-person action with puzzle mechanics, it’s a strong contender for 2026.
Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem was introduced with a new trailer showcasing more action-oriented scenes of Leon and will be released on February 27th.
Brigandine Abyss
Brigandine Abyss has been announced as a tactical RPG offering 100 playable classes and six main storylines.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer
A new trailer has been released for Star Wars: Galactic Racer, but the game’s release date is still unknown.
Dead or Alive 6 Last Round
Dead or Alive 6 Last Round will be released as a free-to-play game on June 25th, and it has been announced that the new project in the series is in development.
Control: Resonant
Control: Resonant has been announced as a sequel centered around Dylan Faden, focusing on melee combat and gravity mechanics.
Crimson Moon
Crimson Moon will offer a bloody Gothic ARPG experience with a human-angel hybrid character and co-op support.
Mina the Hollower
A demo has been announced for Mina the Hollower, the new indie project from Shovel Knight; progress will carry over to the full release.
Neva: Prologue
Neva: Prologue is coming as a DLC telling the prequel story to the emotional indie game from 2024.
Yakoh Shinobi Ops
Yakoh Shinobi Ops has been announced as an isometric stealth-action game set to be released in 2027.
007: First Light
IO Interactive’s young James Bond game will be released on May 27th, and a new trailer has raised expectations.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2
Master Collection Vol. 2 brings together major titles including MGS4 and Peace Walker, releasing on August 27th.
Darwin’s Paradox
A demo for the octopus-themed platform game Darwin’s Paradox is being released; the full version is coming April 2nd.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse
Belmont’s Curse, a special edition for Castlevania’s 40th anniversary, is being developed by Evil Empire and will be released in 2026.
Rev. Noir
Konami’s new JRPG, Rev. Noir, was introduced with a short teaser, but no details were shared.
John Wick Game
Lionsgate announced a John Wick game that is faithful to the film series and focuses on hard-hitting action; gameplay emphasizes the use of firearms and environmental weapons.
Marathon
An open preview for Marathon will be available from February 26th to March 2nd, and the game will be coming to PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X.
Saros
New images for Saros have been released, and the game will be released on PS5 on April 30th; it is considered one of the potential action favorites of 2026.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, an X-Men themed fighting game featuring characters like Wolverine and Magik, will be released on August 6th.
