Star Wars Zero Company Release Date Announced

The release date for Star Wars Zero Company has been officially announced during Summer Game Fest. Developed in collaboration between Bit Reactor and Respawn, the tactical turn-based game will take players to a more strategic and team-focused front in the galaxy. The new trailer revealed many important details, from gameplay and characters to Mandalorian details and a surprise appearance by Anakin Skywalker.

Star Wars Zero Company Release Date and Story Details

According to the announcement, Star Wars Zero Company will be released on August 27, 2026. The game will be available to players just before the start of the busy September schedule and is poised to be one of the year’s most notable Star Wars projects. Previously officially announced during Star Wars Celebration in 2025, the game received its most comprehensive presentation to date at the Summer Game Fest.

Zero Company will be a tactical turn-based game set in the Star Wars universe. The foundations of the project were laid by the Bit Reactor team, which includes names known from the XCOM past. Therefore, the game is expected to focus more on team management, positioning, character abilities, and battlefield tactics rather than classic action. The scenes shown in the trailer support this approach.

The new trailer also shared more details about the characters that will be in the game. The team will include warriors from different species and backgrounds. One of the most striking moments in the trailer was the appearance of a Mandalorian character. However, the biggest surprise came at the end of the trailer with Anakin Skywalker. The character being shown with a blue lightsaber clarified that the story takes place in the pre-Darth Vader era, i.e., the Clone Wars timeline.

The upcoming period looks quite busy for Star Wars fans. Following Zero Company, Galactic Racer is also expected in October. News about Respawn’s third game in the Jedi series is also still awaited. Star Wars Zero Company, with its tactical combat structure, will bring a different perspective to the gaming side of the series on August 27th.
