The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline Officially Announced
Entalto Publishing and ONE-O-ONE Games have officially announced The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline, a new first-person psychological thriller centered on the legacy of Dante Alighieri. Developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam), the PC demo will be available to players on February 19th as part of Steam Next Fest.

In the game, we control Gabriele Alighieri, a descendant of Dante Alighieri. Gabriele is not a hero or a warrior; he is an ordinary human burdened by an unwanted legacy. Every 33 years, the veil between the real world and Hell thins, forcing him to perform an ancient ritual to protect his family and the world.
The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline is built on the idea that “Hell is not just fire; it is a mirror of the soul.” Players explore a melancholic Italian villa, uncovering the secrets of the Alighieri bloodline through diaries, memories, and fragmented truths. These sections deepen the game’s psychological aspects and the character’s inner conflict.
The second part of the gameplay is a surreal dimension shaped by the character’s mind, called “The Dive.” In areas like the Dark Forest and the Outer Hell, the environment directly reacts to Gabriele’s state of mind and decisions. The puzzles are also designed to reflect this theme, connected to the character’s traumas and past.
In the final stage of the ritual, “Sacrifice,” players face a critical choice. To seal the gates of Hell for another cycle, they must decide what Gabriele will leave behind of his humanity. These choices directly affect the game’s narrative and ending. With its psychological thriller elements, literary references, and narrative-driven structure, The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline aims to transform Dante’s Divine Comedy into a modern nightmare experience.
