The Reacher Spin-Off Series Neagley is Here with its First Trailer

Neagley is finally putting one of the Reacher series’ most beloved characters at the helm of her own adventure. The first trailer, released by Prime Video, hints at a dark and action-packed story where Frances Neagley will pursue a painful event from her past. Jack Reacher won’t disappear completely on this new journey either.

Neagley Pursues Her Own Deadly Mystery

The series centers around Frances Neagley, a private investigator working in Chicago. Learning that an old friend died in a suspicious accident, Neagley believes it’s no coincidence. Her quest for justice quickly leads her to a larger and more dangerous organization. The trailer clearly shows that the character has no intention of backing down.

Neagley will draw upon his years in the Army’s 110th Special Investigation Unit and the methods he learned from Jack Reacher. However, this time, he will be the one directly setting the course, devising plans, and doing the fighting. His personal vendetta will ensure the investigation isn’t merely a professional task, opening the door to new details about his past.

The series stars Maria Sten, alongside Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman. Alan Ritchson will also guest-star as Jack Reacher. It’s unclear how involved Reacher will be in the story, but the trailer suggests Neagley will be portrayed as an independent hero standing on his own two feet.

Neagley, consisting of eight episodes, will be released on Prime Video on September 16th, following the Reacher Season 4 finale. All episodes are planned to be available on the same day. Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton are the creators of the series, while Sam Hill directed the first two episodes. The Neagley trailer suggests the spin-off series could not only capitalize on a familiar character but also offer a fresh perspective on the Reacher universe.
