The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an adapted video game series from Texas Chainsaw Massacre series. The game developed by Sumo Nottingham and released by Gun Interactive. The game features team work and player versus player playstyle.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre gameplay

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a game where you can either take the role of Victim or Family. Victims are the survivors in this game. They have to stay alive and escape this nightmare. During the gameplay, Victims start at the basement of the house. They were tortured to death. Because character is wounded, your actions are slow.

There are many help items you can get as Victims. Lockpick, medkit, valve handle and so on. You can use these items to unlock your way or defense yourself. Because your character is already wounded, medkits won’t help much but it will keep you alive for a while. At least for searching a way out of house.

Once you got out of basement, you have to escape from family’s house and yard. Puzzles in this places are changed between maps but usually you have to either open gate or power the gate. For doing this, you have to search the house and basement carefully but also hide from family since they are searching everywhere for you.

Once you escaped house, yard, you will be free. Not all Victims escape at once, sometimes if you don’t follow your teammates or your teammates stay behind you, either you stay behind and lose your way or your teammate does. To prevent this, you can search for your teammate or when you find your teammate, you can stick to them but keep that in mind that when you run into family member, things can get ugly.

Victims can help their teammate by opening secret passages or shortcuts. Since all these changes will kept same for all players, other Victim players can easily use these ways and escape easily thanks to their teammates.

Once one victim escaped house, the player can spectate other players and maybe lead them if they have voice communication.

In The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Family is the killer of the game. Their role is kill Victims and prevent them from escaping the house. For doing this, they have countless way. Noises are the best helper for Family members. Voices show visual indicator to family members, they make easier to find Victims.

Family members can also unlock or lock doors. Victims will have hard time opening these doors. If one Family member is currently chasing one Victim and the only way out door was locked by Family member, this Victim will be cornered and eventually end up dead.

If Family member can not find any Victim and it’s getting boring, Grandpa can help. Grandpa is hungry for blood. Family members have to feed him so he can help Family members. Grandpa has level indicator. Each level increases Grandpa’s detection range. At the highest level, Grandpa can constantly show Victim auras to all Family members. So feeding Grandpa is really important.

Leatherface is the most importany Family member. He can destroy many barricades that other Family members can not pass. Sometimes these barricades can save many Victims, so Leatherface have to destroy essential barricades in order to make their job easiler for other Family members.

There are total of 5 Victims and 5 Family members. One family member is Leatherface, the other ones are normal Family members like Victims. Their animations are similar to Victims.

Victims and their special ability

• Connie

Using Focused allows a door to be unlocked almost instantly but stamina and Family proximity warning are negatively impacted.

• Leland

Defend yourself or temmates by knocking down and stunning Family members. Does not affect Leatherface.

• Ana

While active, significantly reduces damage taken from attacks and falls, while also granting immunity to the effects of poison.

• Sonny

Detect noise made by anyone nearby, pinpointing their location and tracking their movements.

• Julie

While active, grants immunity to tracking from The Cook and Johnny while greatly reducing stamina consumed from running.

Family members and their abilities

• Leatherface

Use the chainsaw to cause horrific injuries, and destroy any doors or obstacles that might stand in your way.

• Cook

Listen for noisy Victims, highlighting and pinpointing their location for a short period of time.

• Hitchhiker

Set traps on the ground, snaring, and injuring any victims who step on them.

• Johnny

Track the movements of Victims while searching for any footprints left behind.

• Sissy

Blow clouds of posion in the path of Victims to block their paths, or lace their useful items.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a pvp horror game where you can play with other people. The game is enjoyable if you like pvp games. If you don’t like horror games or pvp games, then this game won’t be suitable for you.

What is bad things about The Texas Chain Saw Massacre?

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a great game but some animations are too slow and you mainly die because of these animations. If animations were a little bit fast, gameplay would be much more smooth than it is right now.

There are currently some performance issues about game but considering the game just released yet, we hope developers will fix these issues in the next patches.
