The Wait for Hogwarts Legacy 2 Will End Very Soon

Hogwarts Legacy 2 has become one of the most eagerly awaited sequels for players after the huge success of the first game. According to a new leak, Avalanche Software may be preparing to announce the game soon. Claims surrounding the upcoming State of Play event have particularly raised expectations for Hogwarts Legacy 2. However, it’s important to remember that all this information is currently just a rumor and has not been officially confirmed by Warner Bros. Games.

Hogwarts Legacy 2 Rumors Strengthen Before State of Play

The source of the leak was Tidux, who made a short and mysterious post on social media saying “SOP- HL2 Soon”. Players interpreted the “SOP” part as PlayStation’s State of Play event and the “HL2” part as Hogwarts Legacy 2. Sony’s announcement of a new State of Play for June 2nd shortly afterward further fueled these theories.

However, it’s wise to exercise caution here. Tidux’s track record of leaks is quite inconsistent, so it wouldn’t be accurate to treat this claim as definitive information. Nevertheless, some signs suggest that Warner Bros. and Avalanche may be preparing for a new promotional campaign. The studio’s recent hiring of marketing and trailer production-related positions, such as Community Manager and Video Capture Artist, is noteworthy.

Previously, various claims have surfaced regarding Hogwarts Legacy 2. Some rumors suggested the sequel might be live-service and multiplayer-focused, while later it was claimed that the main sequel would again be a single-player RPG, with the multiplayer experience as a separate project. At this point, it’s difficult to say which approach is correct without an official announcement.

Warner Bros. Discovery executives have previously stated that they consider a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy one of the company’s top priorities. Furthermore, the upcoming new HBO series suggests the series could be entering another major marketing campaign. If Hogwarts Legacy 2 is indeed announced at State of Play, a release in the spring or summer of 2027 would be a stronger possibility. For now, however, all eyes are on the official announcement regarding the return to the wizarding world.
