A player customizing a Coquette D10 in GTA Online shared that they saw text related to “Vehicle Identification Number” among some of the vehicle’s options. Interestingly, the VIN system isn’t an active feature in GTA Online. Therefore, some players believe that the text in question may have been accidentally transferred to the game from GTA 6 tests.

This theory becomes even more interesting when linked to the witness and suspect identification system discussed in previous major GTA 6 leaks. The claims suggest that NPCs in the game could provide the police with details such as Jason and Lucia’s clothing, hairstyles, vehicle color, or license plate information. If this system actually exists, the classic “drop the police star, escape, and get away” structure could change significantly.

The idea of ​​stolen vehicles being recognized by the police, in particular, could make GTA 6’s post-crime escape dynamics more tactical. Players might need to change vehicles, deal with license plates or identification information, and pay attention to details seen by witnesses. This could take the series’ Wanted system a step further than the stealth mechanics in GTA 5.
