Toy Story 5 Final Trailer Released

Toy Story 5 has brought Pixar fans back to childhood mode with its final major pre-release trailer. The released final trailer shows Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and the team facing off against a smart tablet called Lilypad. Toy Story 5 blends the classic toy spirit with modern technology, maintaining the familiar feel of the series while preparing to create a new generation of conflict.

Toy Story 5: Toys Meet Technology

The final trailer centers on Bonnie and the new smart tablet, Lilypad, that enters her life. Lilypad comes with its own ideas to help Bonnie make new friends, naturally disrupting the established order of toys. This time, Pixar seems to be addressing the “toy vs. technology?” question not through a purely antagonistic character conflict, but through a more current and familiar issue.

Along with the trailer, new posters for IMAX, ScreenX, and RealD 3D were also released. It was also announced that Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known as Bad Bunny, will make a small voice cameo in the film. He will voice the character Pizza With Sunglasses, a member of a small community of forgotten toys. Alan Cumming will be heard as Evil Bullseye, Bullseye’s alter ego, in a game scene.

Director Andrew Stanton also clarified Woody’s new look in the film. He said the bald spot on his head symbolizes his worn-out self, no longer bound to a single child, constantly rescuing toys in the field. Stanton also stated that no artificial intelligence was used in the film’s production, and Pixar only utilized technologies that made the tools more efficient.

Toy Story 5 will confront the world of toys with the role of technology in our daily lives. While Lilypad appears as a threat in the trailers, the production team emphasizes that he is not designed as a classic villain. The film, which will be released on June 19th, is set to add a new emotional layer to Woody and Buzz’s story.
