Warframe: 1999 Update Coming
Digital Extremes is preparing to take players to the end of the 20th century with the Warframe: 1999 expansion pack. This major update, announced at The Game Awards 2024, came as a complete surprise to long-awaited fans. The update will be released today and will offer an experience full of new story content, characters and game modes.
Warframe: 1999 Update and New Content
Warframe: 1999 takes players to an alternate 1999. In the game, we meet Hex’s Protoframe team as they try to protect Hollvania from the Scaldra armies and the Techrot invasion. In addition to solo missions, players will race against time to rescue Dr. Entrati before the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve. This update stands out with the voice acting of stars such as Ben Starr from Final Fantasy 16, Nick Apostolides from Resident Evil 4 and Amelia Tyler from Baldur’s Gate 3.
The update also introduces the game’s 59th Warframe, Cyte-09. This new character can use scanners to detect enemies, hide with invisibility technology, and drop elemental ammo for allies. In addition, new game mechanics await players, such as Faceoff, a PvPvE mode that pits teams of eight against each other. This update will not only captivate players with solo story missions, but also unique multiplayer modes and in-depth character mechanics. It seems that Digital Extremes has prepared this rich content update perfectly, responding to fan demands.
