Will Deadpool Join the Avengers?

Rumors have reignited that Deadpool, one of the Marvel Universe’s most unusual characters, may appear in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film. The reason is a striking social media post by Ryan Reynolds, which didn’t include any explanation. Fans have only one question: Will Deadpool actually join the Avengers, or is this just a clever marketing ploy?

Deadpool Rumors for Avengers: Doomsday

In an image shared by Ryan Reynolds on Instagram, the Avengers logo appears to have been reshaped with a red “A” spray paint. However, the lack of any explanation has prompted fans to develop their own theories. Some argue that this is a clear indication that Deadpool will join the Doomsday cast. Marvel Studios, however, remains silent on the matter.

Reynolds has previously stated in interviews that Deadpool becoming a member of the Avengers or X-Men would be the “end of the story.” In an interview with TIME, he emphasized that this situation is a kind of “wish fulfillment,” emphasizing that the character’s true power comes from his outsider nature.

Marvel Studios’ silence on such rumors is nothing new. The studio has historically preferred to hold off on big surprises until the release date. This strategy both heightens anticipation and fuels theories among audiences.

Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is set for release on December 18, 2026. While no official announcement has been made yet, Ryan Reynolds’ post clearly indicates that the film will continue to be talked about until its release.
