World of Warcraft: Midnight Release Date Announced
World of Warcraft: Midnight has been eagerly anticipated for a long time, and Blizzard has finally clarified the expansion’s release date; a special early access period where players can experience the world before they set foot in it was the highlight of the announcement.
World of Warcraft: Midnight Coming in March 2026
Blizzard has confirmed that World of Warcraft: Midnight will release globally on March 2, 2026. This date will vary slightly depending on the region, with some players expecting the expansion on the morning of March 3. The opening cinematic released at Gamescom had once again fueled excitement; with this definitive release date, the countdown officially begins.
The first piece of content players will be able to experience before moving on to the main expansion will be Housing Early Access. Users who purchase any version of the Midnight pack will be able to choose their own neighborhood and begin building their first home starting December 2nd. Blizzard describes this system as a kind of initial preparation.
Players who don’t own Midnight aren’t completely excluded, however; some housing system items and collectibles can be collected through activities. This way, these savings will be waiting for you when you consider purchasing the expansion. While Housing Early Access doesn’t offer all the options, it will give players a strong first impression of how the new structure will work.
Blizzard states that it will expand Midnight’s narrative tone along with the housing system. Beginning with the Prologue update “The Warning,” the process paves the way for both new zones and more personalized progression options. With the full Housing system available upon the expansion’s release, players will be in for a comprehensive build.
