Battlefield 6 Team Explains SBMM System
The leaked information about Battlefield 6 has caused great debate among players. In particular, the codes that emerged that the SBMM system will be included in the game have caused concern in the community. This system is expected to match players according to their skill levels. However, the Battlefield 6 team tried to calm the concerns by making a statement on this issue.
Battlefield 6 SBMM System and Team Balance
David Sirland, one of the executive producers of Battlefield 6, met with players on the Battlefield Labs Discord server to explain the details of the SBMM system. Sirland stated that SBMM is not a complete priority and that servers are prioritized according to factors such as ping and fast game start. He also said that SBMM is only used to provide team balance and that a heavy matchmaking system will not be implemented.
“Battlefield is best enjoyed when players of different abilities play together,” Sirland said. “A heavy SBMM system would ruin that experience, so we don’t plan to do that,” he said. The Battlefield Labs program was created to keep players involved in the game’s development process. The program aims to test new features and make improvements based on player feedback. However, leaks and code from the program have caused trust issues between the development team and the community.
“Battlefield Labs is an opportunity to develop the game the right way and engage the community. However, leaks like this undermine our trust and negatively impact the process,” Battlefield Community Manager T0TALfps said in a statement about the leaks. In addition to the SBMM discussions, Battlefield 6 is also drawing attention with new features. The leaks include the addition of a Battle Royale mode to the game and the return of class-based systems.
These innovations aim to appeal to the game’s old fan base while also attracting new players. As Battlefield 6 continues to be in development, the developers have stated that they will be taking community feedback into consideration and working to ensure the game provides the best experience for everyone. Battlefield fans can’t wait to see how much of this promise will be delivered in the final version.
