BulletFarm is Working on a New Multiplayer FPS
BulletFarm has re-entered the gaming world’s radar after a long period of silence. The studio, founded by David Vonderhaar, known for his work on the Call of Duty series, had gone through a difficult period after NetEase withdrew its funding. However, according to new announcements, the team has begun working on a completely new multiplayer FPS experience with the support of GTG.
BulletFarm Enters a New Era with GTG Support
In a post following more than a year of silence, David Vonderhaar announced that BulletFarm is continuing its journey. It was stated that the new game carries the same creative spirit as the project that was previously halted after NetEase withdrew its support, but is being developed as a completely new production. In other words, the team is making a fresh start without completely erasing the traces of the old idea.
BulletFarm is now backed by GTG, or GreaterThan Group. This new holding company adopts an approach that supports developers in focusing on their own dream projects. The company’s support for BulletFarm seems to have allowed Vonderhaar and his team to continue their unfinished plans in a different way.
The studio was first announced in February 2024. Based in Los Angeles, BulletFarm stated at the time that its team of experienced developers was preparing an ambitious game with strong co-op capabilities on Unreal Engine 5. The new project also emphasizes a first-person perspective, multiplayer structure, and cooperative gameplay.
The game’s name, release date, and gameplay details have not yet been announced. Therefore, it’s too early to say what kind of FPS experience BulletFarm will offer. Nevertheless, Vonderhaar’s background in the industry and the studio’s resurgence make this project something to watch.
